About Us

2475e.jpg

The City of Swansea Pipe Band has been performing in Swansea and South West Wales for almost 50 years now.

Over the years, the Band has played at many events such as carnivals, fetes, charities, weddings and annual indoor events such as Burn's Suppers and the Royal British Legion's Festival of Remembrance at the Brangwyn Hall. We have taken part in the Edinburgh Festival Parade, a music festival in South West France, 4th July celebrations at the U.S. Navy base, Brawdy and even the televised London Lord Mayor's Show as part of a massed band of the Royal Scottish Pipe Band Association.

The band continues to survive but needs new recruits (of any nationality and of either sex). We exist to enjoy our music and to entertain the public rather than to enter competitions. Tuition in piping and drumming is given freely every Wednesday evening (7-9pm) and the last Sunday of each month (2-5pm) at Parc Y Scarlets Stadium with a break for a cuppa and a chat. Anyone interested can get in touch via our contact details below.
